Business context
Lacoste moved the logistics of its footwear division to a new third-party (3PL) warehouse provider dedicated to footwear. The provider built its interfaces to fit Lacoste's standard Cegid Orliweb solution, so the inbound and outbound flows, the file exchanges and the EDI flows with wholesale customers all had to be specified, tested and cut over, with remote teams in France and California.
Key contributions
- Specified and tested the inbound (receiving) and outbound (pick tickets, shipping) flows between Orliweb and the new warehouse.
- Worked on the flat-file transfer interfaces through FileZilla and a staging database.
- Wrote Oracle SQL queries for reporting and bug analysis during testing and go-live.
- Coordinated the France and California teams through go-live cutover and WMS go-live support.

How I worked
As techno-functional project manager I sat between the business in New York and the remote teams in France and California. I gathered the requirements, did the functional and technical analysis of each flow and ran the integration tests. Because the data passed through files and a staging database, I used Oracle SQL queries both for reporting and for bug analysis. I then led the go-live cutover and supported the warehouse system go-live.
